This installment was produced in March 2002 in South Korea. It was broadcast on Japan's NHK and has been a major part of the Korean wave both there and throughout Asia. It is known as 冬のソナタ (Fuyu no sonata) in Japanese, 冬日戀歌 (Dōngrì Liàn'gē) or 冬季戀歌 (Dōngjì Liàn'gē) in Mandarin Chinese, Bản tình ca mùa Đông in Vietnamese, and เพลงรักในสายลมหนาว (Pleang Rak Nai Sai Lom Naow) in Thai & Endless Love 2: Winter Sonata in the Philippines.

Based on the Read or Die manga series, the film was directed by Koji Masunari and released in early 2001 in Japan by Studio Deen in early 2001 and outside Japan by Manga Entertainment in 2003. The story, featuring main characters such as Yomiko Readman and Joker, is a continuation of the Read or Die storyline, taking place a few years after the events of the manga.

The first episode begins with a cold open, set in Washington DC, where the White House has been evacuated. The samurai Gennai Hiraga appears on top of the White House and annihilates it using a mysterious power. Later in the episode, it is revealed that the US Library of Congress has been attacked, although this is not actually shown.

Kiss×sis's story begins with Keita Suminoe, a male third-year junior-high school student studying for his high school entrance exams. He is living in a home with his older twin stepsisters, Ako and Riko, who kiss, flash, and display their love for him in public. They help him prepare for his exams. Although they share no blood-relation to him, Keita begins to become romantically attracted to his two stepsisters and initially dislikes himself for it. Seeing this attraction, his two parents encourage him to eventually get married to one of them.

The OVA was announced in June 2008 that an animated adaptation of the manga series would be produced. An original video animation episode produced by the studio Feel and directed by Munenori Nawa was bundled with the third manga volume released on December 22, 2008 as "episode #0". Another OVA episode, "episode #1", was bundled with the fourth manga volume released on May 22, 2009. Another episode is scheduled for release on November 20, 2009, but at the end of the second episode it is told that it would only be produced if there was a demand for it determined by pre-order sales.

The first 99 episodes were directed by Shinji Takamatsu. Episodes 100 to 105 were directed by Takamatsu and Yoichi Fujita, while following episodes only by Fujita. It premiered on TV Tokyo on April 4, 2006, and has since broadcast over one hundred episodes. The anime is based on Hideaki Sorachi's manga of the same name. The story revolves around an eccentric samurai, Gintoki Sakata, his apprentice, Shinpachi Shimura, and a teenage alien girl named Kagura. All three are "free-lancers" who search for work in order to pay the monthly rent, which usually goes unpaid anyway.

In Japan, Aniplex distributes the anime in DVD format. A total of thirteen volumes were released for the first season, between July 26, 2006 and June 26, 2007. The second season was released over another set of thirteen volumes between July 25, 2007 and July 23, 2008. Season 3 was released in thirteen volumes from August 27, 2008 to August 26, 2009. The first DVD volume from season 4 was released on October 28, 2009. Prior to the series' premier, an original video animation (OVA) of Gin Tama by Sunrise was showing at Jump Festa Anime Tour in 2005. A ten-minute long OVA named Shiroyasha Kotan (白夜叉降誕?, lit. "White Demon's Birth") , set in the war between aliens and samurais, was shown in Jump Festa 2008. On September 30, 2009, it was published a DVD named Gintama Jump Anime Tour 2008 & 2005 which contains the 2005 and 2008 OVAs.

On January 8, 2009, the streaming video site Crunchyroll began offering English subtitled episodes of the series. The episodes are available on Crunchyroll within hours of airing in Japan to paying members. The episodes can also be watched for free a week after release. The first available episode was episode 139. On the same day, Crunchyroll also began uploading episodes from the beginning of the series at a rate of two a week.

The show officially broadcasted its first episode on July 4, 2009 on the AT-X, Chiba TV, Kansai TV, Tokai TV, Tokyo MX TV, TV Kanagawa and TV Saitama television stations.

Based on a bonus scenario created by Type-Moon for the game 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de, Canaan's story is based on the protagonist with the same name. A Middle Eastern teenaged girl and a mercenary, Canaan is dispatched by her unknown superiors to the city of Shanghai in the People's Republic of China where she meets up with Maria Ōsawa. Now a photographer, Maria reunites with her friend Canaan after being saved from harassment during a trip to the Middle East years ago. Unknown to her, Maria suffers from partial amnesia since she had been the target of an unknown attack by mysterious terrorists in Shibuya, Tokyo and planted with the Ua virus in her before her father Kenji was able to save her life by using an anti-Ua virus vaccine created by the Okoshi Pharmaceutical company. Their presence in Shanghai, however, has been greatly overshadowed by the upcoming NBCR International Anti-Terrorist Conference in the same city where Alphard, Canaan's hated rival, plans to stage a terrorist attack with her subordinates known as "Snakes".

The creation of CANAAN was first announced at the November issue of Newtype magazine that 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de will have an anime adaptation. The show's title was later officially announced at the 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de's official website with P.A. Works doing the animation. A 17-second commercial was later aired on the show's official website. Comp Ace magazine had announced on a flyer that its July issue will serialize CANAAN's manga adaptation. CANAAN is also scheduled to have a movie adaptation in October, in where all of its 13 episodes are compiled into one show. CANAAN is scheduled to be released on DVD and in Blu-Ray on October 21, 2009, with the DVD being sold for ¥6,090 and the Blu-Ray for ¥7,140.

The show's opening song, "mind as Judgment", is sung by Faylan with a single released on July 22, 2009. The ending song, "My heaven", is sung by Annabel with a single released on August 26, 2009. However, the opening song was not used in episode 11, See Saw. Episode 13, Land of Hope, did not have an opening song as well and "mind as Judgment" was used for the episode's ending song. A separate single, "China Feelin' High Tension" (チャイナ気分でハイテンション!, China Kibun de High Tension?), was released on October 7, 2009 with the songs performed by Ayahi Takagaki, who played Nene in the series.

Bakemonogatari centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third year high school student who is almost human again after briefly becoming a vampire. One day, a classmate named Hitagi Senjōgahara, who infamously never talks to anyone, falls down the stairs into Koyomi's arms. He discovers that Hitagi weighs next to nothing, in defiance of physics. After being threatened by her, Koyomi offers his help, and introduces her to Meme Oshino, a strange middle-aged man living in an abandoned building, who cured him of being a vampire.

The series tends to introduce only one new heroine per chapter, each involved with a different "apparition". Most of them have an item which symbolises their spectres, such as Hitagi's stapler - the claw of a crab, Mayoi's back pack - the shell of a snail, Suruga's leggings - SARUMATA (猿股, the Japanese traditional underclothing. 'SARU' means monkey), and Nadeko's big hat and baggy jacket - the head and skin of a snake. The events of the previous chapters play an important role in the subsequent ones. The series primarily focuses on conversations between characters; it contains a fair number of parodies of other series, as well as Nisio Isin's trademark word play and metahumor.

Haseo encounters Azure Kite (believing him to be Tri-Edge and blaming him for what happened to Shino) but is hopelessly outmatched. Azure Kite easily defeats Haseo and Data Drains him, reducing his level from 133 to 1 and leaving him without any items, weapons, or member addresses. He is left with a mystery on his hands as to the nature of the Data Drain and why Azure Kite is in possession of such a skill.

Eventually Haseo gains the \"Avatar\" of Skeith. Acquiring the ability to call Skeith and wield his abilities, such as Data Drain. With Skeith as his strength, Haseo begins the quest for a way to save Shino.

Él (エル, eru?) is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by the ELF Corporation which was originally released for the PC on September 29, 2000.
